DTF Transfer Pressing Guide (Using a Home Iron)
The design can be ordered with A4 or A5
-
Temperature: Set your iron to Medium-High (around 150' to 160' or cotton/linen setting), ensuring you turn off any steam settings or empty the water reservoir.
-
Fabric Prep: Pre-press your garment for 5 to 10 seconds to remove all wrinkles and eliminate any trapped moisture from the fabric.
-
Placement: Position your DTF transfer face up onto the garment, ensuring it is straight and centered correctly.
-
Pressure: Cover the transfer with a piece of parchment paper or a clean Teflon sheet, then press down firmly with heavy, even pressure across the entire design.
-
Pressing Time: Move the iron slowly and steadily over the entire design for 15 to 20 seconds, making sure every edge and corner receives adequate heat and pressure.
-
Peeling: Let the transfer cool down completely to a warm or cold touch before carefully peeling away the clear backing film at a low angle.
-
Post-Press (Curing): Place the parchment or Teflon sheet back over the exposed design and press for an additional 5 to 10 seconds to seal the print and increase durability.
